Family Man:
bBoth of my girls are enrolled in the full kids program at convention- Andrea is just here for support (but she wouldn’t have made the seven hour drive if it weren’t for all the friends we get to see!).

Mennonite Core:
[My Mennonite roots] Inform the way I read the bible, and that hasn’t changed. An Anabaptist approach tends to be my M.O.

Language Lesson:
Working at Mars hill, i’ve learned a lot about how language is understood differently. Non- issues in Anabaptist environments provided anxiety for others. I had to find new words.

New Strategy
Many skills from advertising transferred to pastoring, except one: Love. Without love, It becomes manipulation. With love, it becomes influence.

In the Works
I reworking my website to be a searchable archive while working on an new book titled “Calling.”

Finding Focus
I was attached  to the Anabaptist theology because they found a creative 3rd way beyond the polarization of our culture, but they seem to be going back. This is the focus of my message.

Convention Fan
My first convention was Charlotte, and i haven’t missed on since.
