I ask why is this on here? Are the pink mennos an approved group that functions under Mennonite church USA? I was unaware of this. Please inform me if I am wrong. I’m not in Pittsburgh but I was told earlier in the year that they would not allowing them any booth space or an approved workshop/ seminar. So why is the mpress promoting their stuff? I do understand that all the workshops are off site. I was more interested in why mpress is reporting and “promoting” them.

Though the Pink Mennos are not permitted to meet on the convention site, members are gathering at the nearby Smithfield United Church of Christ for various activities. Their members and supporters include delegates and others who are involved in Pittsburgh 2011, which explains why we published the contact information (which we would not characterize as “promoting their stuff”). A more complete article on the Pink Mennos appeared today in The Mennonite’s Tmail news service. If you have more questions or concerns, denominational leaders would be in the best position to respond.
