I’ve been in Rome for a few days now and its been an experience; I think we’ve done more walking here than in Greece, which I never thought possible ha. We went to the famous Colloseum where they use to have gladiator fights and it was awesome, probably the best thing about Rome so far. Yesterday we went to Vatican City where we had an amazing lunch; pizza, pasta, gelato, it was the so good. After that we went to the Vatican Museum and toured it for about three hours. It’s said that if you spent 30 seconds looking at each thing in the museum you’d be there for 4 years.
One thing I will never forget about Rome is the famous Statue of David’ words cannot begin to describe how amazing it was. This trip has changed my life. When I come back to the states I want to continue to study Greek and Roman culture because it is filled with rich history and so many great things.

5/6/2012 – Today we went to an Evangelical church; it was my first time going and the majority of it was in Greek (haha). It was different, there was a lot of getting up and down and just things that were different than what I’ve experienced before. Athens is much different than the other places we’ve been so far, but I like this city a little better than Thessaloniki because of the atmosphere.
I’ve been away from the internet for quite some time and its actually a good feeling; I feel much more relaxed. My blogs will come in clusters, which I’m sure you’ve figured out by now, but I hope my blogs help to paint a picture of what Greece might look like. Well tomorrow is our cruise, and I’m going to spend the rest of my evening getting ready for that. Good Night from Athens!(:

It’s been a while since I last posted, but no worries things are great here. Every day has been good so far, except for the heat. We’ve gathered a lot of great footage and our team is learning how to function better together; we’re getting faster! Lately I’ve been feeling home sick and I miss my friends and family, but I remember that I’m in Greece and that I’ll be home soon. I saw that a few of you have commented on my blogs. sorry that I haven’t responded, internet is scarce around here and good internet is a little expensive. Mom, I know you’re probably wondering what I’m up to, well I’m filming and having fun and learning as much as I can about the course content and Greek culture. I miss you! Date: Sometime last week

Hello all from Athens!!! Yes, we’ve relocated again, if any of you have been following our posts then perhaps you can track the course of our travels. Since Thessaloniki we have been to Delphi and Corinth. On our upcoming cruise we will be going to three islands; Hydra, Poros, and Aegina. If anyone has questions for me you can post them and I will try my best to answer in a timely manner. Greek life is different than the U.S. in a lot of ways. Here there are people who try to sell you things all the time right in the middle of the streets, where as in America you really don’t see people doing that. Also if you go into a store the people get really offended if you don’t buy something, but hey you get use to being seen as the bad guy for not buying.

Left Mt. Olympus this morning, from Litohoro, Greece. After that we went to Meteora and visited a monastery, which was amazing! The view there was super unbelievable. Just got into Delphi a little while ago and had dinner on the edge of a cliff, not a big deal haha.
If you haven’t guessed by now the Internet here isn’t the best, so actually getting to post something is a miracle in itself. Food here is amazing, it’s customary for people to sit at a table and stay for 3 or 4 hours. Also if you order don’t ask for separate checks, because those don’t exist here; most everything is communal, including the stray cats(inside joke).
Shooting is going well, we’ve gathered pretty good footage so far and I’ve learned a lot about filming larger projects than what I’m used to. Tomorrow is a more relaxed day for us then we’re off to Athens. Good Night everyone!!!(: – 5/1/12

Today we went to a museum here in Thessaloniki, which was about ancient Macedonia. We also went to a Christian Byzantine museum as well; both were spectacular and had many interesting artifacts. Today was my free day from the camera crew, but tomorrow I will be running audio when we go to Mt. Olympus. A strenuous hike is available, which I am looking forward to(: Quick note: tonight is the final day for us here in Thessaloniki. It has been a wonderful time but now we are moving onto Athens where we will spend a large portion of our trip. Good night from Greece and although I miss you all I am making the best of my time here in Greece to grow spiritually and culturally. 4/29/12
Today we climbed Mt. Olympus (not all the way) but it was considered the strenuous hike which took us to the gates of the mountain. It was crazy hard for me but I felt immensely satisfied when I made it to the gates and saw the amazing view that everyone else saw. I feel blessed to be here and give thanks to god for all that we’ve done and for what we will do here in Greece and Italy. When this trip began I wasn’t sure what to expect, and at times I still don’t, but I do know that no matter where we are that I can expect good things to happen. Greece has been paradise to me, I hope I can come back one day and see and do what I’ve done all over again. In the meantime I am going to get some rest and prepare for tomorrow. Good Night 4/30/12
After a Long day of traveling we have finally arrived to Thessaloniki(: Thank God for a safe trip and what I hope will be an experience that I will never forget. Good Night Everyone!! 4/26/12
In Thessaloniki still, went and saw some interesting sites today and also had an authentic Greek gyro, it was kind of greasy but super satisfying. 4/26/12

Thursday was the first day we went out and got footage. The Roman Forum, The church of Saint Demetri, and the Arch of Saint Demetri are just a few of the sites we visited that day.
Off to Philippi tomorrow for another interesting adventure. Hoping to get some great footage and learn lots about Greece in relation to the bible. Also, I will be blogging, and potentially uploading photos given that the Wifi works well, about the trip so far and a little about future events. If you want to follow me and hear more about what I’m doing then I will post a link tomorrow. Good Night from Thessaloniki (: 4/27/12
Went to Philippi today with the camera crew, and also the bible class. So far things have been great!!! Today I was production assistant and did a lot of logging our shots and also helping find good B-Roll footage. Lydia’s church and baptistry, Ancient Philippi, The prison where Paul is believed to have been imprisoned, as well as an ancient theater, are among the few places I got to see on today’s voyage. The people here are great and our tour guides have been amazing, also our bus driver Theodore has been very helpful in teaching me Greek words that I’ve been using on a regular basis. Well off to bed have more fun planned for tomorrow. Good night/Kaleeneehta from Thessaloniki(: 4/28/12
